Visit the king’s cities- 9 days! A mix of culture and adventure!

Day 1: Marrakech – Casablanca

Around 9 am we leave for Casablanca. We visit the United Nations Square, Place Mohammed V, and the famous Hassan II mosque. (optionally, the mosque can be visited with a guide – recommend!) Overnight at a hotel in Casablanca.

Day 2: Casablanca- Rabat

After breakfast, we drive on to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here is the royal palace, the mausoleum of King Mohamed V, this we will visit and the famous tower of the mosque of Hassan II. Dinner and overnight in Rabat.

Day 3: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Fes

After breakfast we leave for Meknes, one of the royal cities, located at the foot of the Rif Mountains. The old horse breeding farm and the sultan’s granary are located here. We visit the monumental Bab El Mansour, one of the beautiful gates in the city walls of Meknes. From Meknes we go to Volubilis. Here we visit the largest Roman ruined city in Morocco with beautiful mosaics, baths and temple remains. Then to Moulay Idriss. Finally we go to Fes to spend the night.

Day 4: Fes

Fes is the oldest royal city in Morocco. Fes consists of three parts, of which the oldest part, Fes el-Bali, is the most important (UNESCO World Monuments. We visit the oldest part with a guide, including the medina and the souks, the famous tanneries, the Neijarine fountain and a Koran school. In the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace with its beautiful copper doors and the Mellah- the Jewish Quarter. Free time is also provided today.
Dinner and overnight in Fes.

Day 5: Fes – Midelt

We drive through a beautiful landscape to Merzouga. We head through the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Midelt. Today is mostly a travel day but not to worry we stop a lot along the way to take pictures. Overnight at hotel in Midelt.

Day 6: Midelt – Merzouga.

We continue our journey to Merzouga. Merzouga is located on the edge of the impressive sand dunes of the Sahara. Once there, the camels will be ready to take us through the desert to the tent camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Before we start our camel ride, there is time to relax by the pool in a nearby hotel. We dine and sleep in our tent camp in the sand dunes.

Day 7: Merzouga – Tinejdad – Todra

After breakfast we leave for Tinghir. We pass the village of Tinejdad and have lunch in a typical Berber restaurant. After lunch we drive on towards Tinghir. There we visit the Todra gorge, an impressive nature reserve with gorges up to 250 meters high. Dinner and overnight in Todra.

Day 8: Todra – Kelaat M’Gouna – Ouarzazate

We head towards Ouarzazate via the (Boumalne de Dades and the rose valley). The route along the thousand kasbahs. In Skoura we go off road to visit a Kasbah. After the visit we drive to the city of Ouarzazate.
Dinner and overnight in a hotel Ouarzazate.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast we drive to Marrakech, via Ait Ben Haddou. We visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage). There is an opportunity to take pictures of the beautiful surroundings. Via Tizin-Tichka (the highest mountain peak in Morocco) we continue our journey to Marrakech.

This trip can be completely adapted to your wishes.

Attention! This program is only possible if you arrive in Marrakech at 9am and have a flight back from Marrakech in the late afternoon/evening. Otherwise, this tour will be 1 or 2 days longer.
